Let your ears lead the way to great audio tales with the green busts of the Kontrafej brand.
A small logo and identity project for a local audio production company named Kontrafej. Kontrafej means portrait and this is exactly where the bust mascots enter the visual landscape. The busts with the green ears draw parallels to the artistic world and introduce you to people with stories worth listening to.
These busts had to be the foundation of the logo and color palette which then naturally uses the half-circle shape and the warm green color. The logo and the brand identity use the font Granville. Granville is a reinterpretation of the thick‐thin style, built with a rational construction like the early French Moderns, yet without a tie to any specific period or model by the type design agency Production Type. This font gives the brand plenty of playfulness and character without losing the classical vibe.
This playfulness so suited for the innovative and artistic brand is also represented in the color palette that features bright and vibrant colors in the warmer end of the spectrum.
